When staying at the Shady Acre Motel you can park at your door. Your room is fully sanitized and we offer no contact check in. There is no need to stop at our office or have any common space contact. You’ll find fresh baked cookies from a local bakery in your room. We respect your comfort level and are only a phone call away if you need anything.
Kangaroo’s, Sloths and Dingo’s, Oh My!
Branson’s Promised Land Zoo is rated a top 25 Zoo in the United States. I love it because you get up close and personal with the animals and it’s very interactive. My grandchildren have held sloths, kangaroo’s and dingo’s, just to name a few.

Blueberry Picking and Thunder Muffins
Persimmon Hill Farm is an easy 35 minute drive from the Shady Acre Motel. Blueberry season is June to early July. Plan to arrive early in the morning before the heat of the day. There is a lovely little restaurant overlooking the fields where you can get one of their famous Thunder Muffins or cinnamon rolls. After breakfast grab a bucket and get to picking. Part of the fun is taking the blueberries right of the bush and trying all the different varieties. This is one of our favorite family outings every June! I bet it might become yours as well!
Table Rock or Taneycomo, You Choose!
Kayak Branson will outfit you with everything you need for a day of Kayaking or Stand Up Paddle Boarding. They will drop you off and pick you up so you can go at your own pace. Our Lakes are peaceful, beautiful and clear. You’re likely to see Blue Heron, Eagles, Turtles and Otter’s, as well as fish jumping out of the water. We’ve kayaked both lakes several times and it’s one of our favorite summer adventures.

Who Doesn’t Love Taco Tuesday?
Taco’s, Taco’s Taco’s!! EL Lago is the best deal around on Tuesday. They have $1 taco’s and $2 margarita’s all day! You can feed the family on a budget and they’re really good! You can dine in but they also have a drive thru window for your convenience.
Andy’s Frozen Custard is a local favorite. I always get the Wood P. Snowmonster… Yum! They have a drive thru or a walk up window.
Cedar Rock Grille is a local diner with outdoor seating and they offer our guests a 10% discount. We love their pancakes and the fried potatoes are the best!
Bonus… they’re on DoorDash so you can have breakfast in bed!
